This Is For...

Leaving A Legacy is designed for adults 55 years and older who want to preserve their stories, memories, wisdom, experiences, family history, and life lessons in a meaningful, tangible way.

You might be:

  • A parent or grandparent
  • A retired or current professional
  • An entrepreneur or business owner
  • An educator, artist, or creative
  • A community, faith, or cultural leader
  • A veteran
  • Someone who simply wants to document the experiences and wisdom you've gathered throughout your life

You Don’t Have to Be a Writer

You don’t need to be a writer. You don’t need publishing experience. And you don’t need to know exactly what your book will be about when you apply.

A basic level of computer comfort is helpful. Participants should be able to type their stories and use email for communication. For online participants, be able to use Zoom for the weekly sessions.

Not comfortable with technology? No problem. Kuwento Co. can provide recording, typing, and transcription support for an additional fee.

"I want my elder to preserve their legacy."

Sometimes the person who sees the value in a story first is the person who loves its storyteller.

Maybe you've heard your mother tell the same story for years.

Maybe your father has talked about writing a book but never known where to begin.

Maybe you simply know there are stories, experiences, and wisdom your family should never lose.

You can help make it happen.

Adult children, grandchildren, spouses, caregivers, and other loved ones are welcome to help with the application and support their loved one throughout the experience.

The participant remains the primary storyteller and author.
