Collection: The Kuwento Academy

The Kuwento Academy is the educational and learning center of Kuwento Co., designed as a Filipino American community school and publishing education hub serving a full spectrum of learners—from Pre-K youth to elder seniors.

The Academy exists to guide people through the entire storytelling and publishing journey—from identity exploration and story discovery to writing, editing, and ultimately publishing with intention.

Through in-person and virtual classes, The Kuwento Academy provides a vibrant space for:

• Cultural exploration and identity formation
• Creative expression through writing and the arts
• Literary education and publishing literacy
• Intergenerational learning and mentorship

All programming is rooted in the Filipino American diasporic experience and aligned with Kuwento Co.’s role as an independent publisher committed to ethical, community-centered publishing.

The Academy functions as a learning-to-publishing pipeline, offering:

• Classes and workshops
• Cohort-based publishing pathways
• Evergreen lessons and a learning resource library
• Literary events, contests, and community gatherings
