Kuwento Co. is now accepting applications for its inaugural Leaving A Legacy Guided Publishing Program, a 6-month publishing program designed for adults ages 55 and older who want to write, publish, and share their personal stories, experiences, and knowledge.
The program provides participants with structured guidance and publishing support as they work toward producing their own professionally published books. Participants will receive support throughout the process, including story development, manuscript preparation, editing, book production, and publication.
Program Details
The inaugural cohort begins January 13, 2027. Participants can choose from two program formats:
- Online: Virtual participation for individuals who prefer to work remotely.
- Houston, Texas: In-person participation at George H.W. Bush Community Center
The six-month program is $5,000 per participant and includes guided publishing instruction and support through the completion and publication of their books.
Free Information Sessions & Preview Days
Individuals interested in the program are invited to attend a free information session and preview day before applying. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn about the program structure, publishing process, expectations, and enrollment details. Attendees can also ask questions and determine whether the program is a good fit for their publishing goals.

Applications & Enrollment Deadline
Applications are currently being accepted for the January 2027 cohort. Enrollment is limited to six participants per cohort, and the first six individuals to complete enrollment will secure their places.
The enrollment deadline is January 1, 2027, or until the cohort is filled.
